Creative Design Resolutions, Inc. recently completed designs for the I-57 Bridge in Williamson County, Illinois, which lies at the entrance to the Shawnee National Forest and Crab Orchard National Wildlife Refuge. Due to this close proximity, the aesthetic solution CDR designed for the bridge was based on the flora and fauna of the Shawnee Forest. Geese in flight amongst clouds and sky span the parapet and piers, while stamps of oversized animal tracks create dynamic patterns along the embankment, integrating with the nature themed liners used elsewhere on the bridge. By incorporating the plants, animals and rock formations of the area, as well as the serene colors and dynamic textures of the region, travelers will feel as if they are passing though the forest as they drive under the I-57 Bridge.
